The Hartford Wolf Pack and the Springfield Thunderbirds square off for the series finale tonight at 7:00 at the XL Center. The Wolf Pack and Thunderbirds have each won a game in this three game series, and it was the Thunderbirds who beat the Wolf Pack with a final score of 2-0 in the last game.

The Wolf Pack have plenty to be playing for tonight against the Thunderbirds as the Wolf Pack look to keep their top spot in the standings. The Wolf Pack are currently in first place in the Atlantic Division with 61 total points, and a win tonight can help the Wolf Pack gain some much needed separation from the Hershey Bears who also have 61 total points.

In the 2019-2020 season, the Wolf Pack are 3-0-0-0 at home against the Thunderbirds, and last Saturday was the Thunderbirds first win against the Wolf Pack this season.

Remaining undefeated at home against the Thunderbirds will not be an easy task for the Wolf Pack as the Thunderbirds come into tonight’s game having won 10 of the teams last 14 games which has placed the team in fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

In tonight’s match up, the Thunderbirds will undoubtedly be looking to winger, Dryden Hunt to lead the way. Hunt has scored in both games in this series so far, and adding a goal tonight would make it the fourth straight game where Hunt has scored a goal.

On the other hand, the Wolf Pack are trying to avoid losing back-to-back games against the Thunderbirds but doing so will be difficult especially after the New York Rangers recently recalled forward, Phillip Di Giuseppe on February 2. This is a major blow to the Wolf Pack as Giuseppe has scored 14 goals for the Pack this AHL season, a personal career high, and currently sits in third place in the entire AHL in shots on goal (149). In wake of this news, the New York Rangers reassigned forward, Ty Ronning to the Wolf Pack who last played for the ECHL affiliate, Maine Mariners.

Heading into tonight’s game, the Hartford Wolf Pack have won 11 consecutive games at home which is tied with the franchise record that was set back in the 2004-2005 season. With a win tonight, the Wolf Pack can set a team record and make team history of having 12 consecutive wins at home.

Tonight’s game should be a game filled with action as both teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs, and even more, for the Hartford Wolf Pack, a chance to make history.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
